Introduction to EasyPdfViewer
EasyPdfViewer is a powerful web-based PDF viewer and editor that allows you to view, edit, highlight, and annotate PDF documents directly in your browser. This guide will walk you through the basics of using EasyPdfViewer to get you up and running quickly.
Note: EasyPdfViewer works entirely in your browser. Your PDF documents are not uploaded to any server, ensuring your privacy and security.
Accessing the PDF Viewer
To access the PDF viewer, simply click on the "PDF Viewer" link in the navigation menu or the "Try PDF Viewer Now" button on the homepage. This will take you to the PDF viewer page where you can upload and work with your PDF documents.
Loading a PDF Document
There are two ways to load a PDF document into EasyPdfViewer:
- Drag and Drop: Simply drag a PDF file from your computer and drop it onto the designated area in the viewer.
- File Browser: Click the "Browse Files" button and select a PDF file from your computer.
Tip: For the best performance, we recommend using PDF files that are less than 50MB in size.
Navigating PDF Documents
Once you've loaded a PDF document, you can navigate through it using the following controls:
Page Navigation
- Previous/Next Buttons: Use the Previous and Next buttons in the toolbar to move between pages.
- Page Number Input: Enter a specific page number to jump directly to that page.
- Keyboard Shortcuts: Use the left and right arrow keys to navigate between pages.
Zooming
- Zoom In/Out Buttons: Use the Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons in the toolbar to adjust the zoom level.
- Keyboard Shortcuts: Use the + and - keys to zoom in and out.
- Mouse Wheel: Hold down the Ctrl key (or Cmd key on Mac) and use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
Document Views
EasyPdfViewer offers several different ways to view your PDF documents:
- Single Page View: View one page at a time.
- Continuous View: Scroll through all pages continuously.
- Two Page View: View two pages side by side.
- Full Screen: View the document in full screen mode.
You can access these view options by clicking the "View" button in the toolbar.
Basic PDF Editing
EasyPdfViewer provides several tools for editing and annotating PDF documents:
Text Highlighting
To highlight text in your PDF document:
- Click the "Highlight" button in the toolbar.
- Select the text you want to highlight by clicking and dragging.
- The selected text will be highlighted with the current highlight color.
- To change the highlight color, click on one of the color options in the color picker.
Adding Notes
To add a note to your PDF document:
- Click the "Add Note" button in the toolbar.
- Click on the location in the document where you want to add the note.
- Enter your note text in the dialog that appears.
- Click "Add Note" to save the note.
Editing Text
To edit text in your PDF document:
- Click the "Edit Text" button in the toolbar.
- Click on the text you want to edit.
- Edit the text in the dialog that appears.
- Click "Apply Changes" to save your edits.
Warning: Text editing in PDFs is limited by the structure of the PDF document. Some text may not be editable, especially in scanned documents or documents with complex layouts.
Saving Your Work
To save your edited PDF document:
- Click the "Save PDF" button in the toolbar.
- The edited PDF will be downloaded to your computer.
You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+S (or Cmd+S on Mac) to save your document.
